J. Bandes

Leadership Profile

James Bandes brings more than 38 years of leadership in litigation support, legal technology, and eDiscovery at some of the most demanding law firms in the world. For 16 years he led Litigation Technology Advisory Services at Quinn Emanuel in New York and Europe, building the firm’s eDiscovery department into a global processing and hosting operation and guiding complex, cross-border matters in full compliance with data privacy requirements.

Earlier, he managed technology for the New York and New Jersey offices of Latham & Watkins, served as Chief Information Officer at Fisher & Phillips and Darby & Darby, managed the forensic and electronic discovery labs at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, and built the eDiscovery and computer forensics division at Peak.

At Elevated Discovery, James brings that experience — from ESI protocols and Rule 26(f) conferences to technology-assisted review and AI — to every matter, with guidance shaped by the case rather than any single platform.

Leadership Profile

Jay Collins brings more than three decades of executive leadership and consulting experience in eDiscovery, business intelligence, and operational strategy. Since 2010 he has led the eDiscovery business unit he formed at Legistics, supporting Quinn Emanuel’s Litigation Technology Advisory Services group and other law firms with complex litigation, investigation, and arbitration practices — from collection and preservation through processing, hosting, production, and trial support.

A former Arthur Andersen Partner, Jay launched the firm’s Southeast Regional Business Intelligence consulting practice. He later served as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of Wright Williams & Kelly, a CH2M HILL company, and held operations and consulting leadership roles at CH2M HILL, Numara Software, and Adjoined Consulting.
